The mission of the Center for Protected Areas and Sustainable Development Bihor (CAPDD) is to contribute to sustainable development of Bihor county, Apuseni Mountains and communities in their areas, through the management of protected natural areas and conservation of biodiversity and natural heritage, sustainable local development, responsible tourism and preservation of authentic cultural identity.
ROSCI0189 Barlangos stream (Sugău cave)
Area: Harghita county
The cave is famous because of its narrow galleries and speleothems: conical stalactites, stalagmites, fistular stalactites, corallites etc. There are also splendid calcium crystallizations in the form of aragonite, and helictite formations.
ROSCI0193 Tăușoare Cave Natura 2000 site
Area: Bistrița-Năsăud county
Custodian: The Museum of Bistrița-Năsăud. The purpose of establishing the protected ares is to preserve the landscape, mineralogical, calcite and sulfate speleothems, deposits of silt, fauna, subterranean biological systems and endokarst morphology, to reduce to a minimum the impact of anthropogenic factor on this endokarstic system, by implementing visitation, exploration and documentation rules.
ROSCI0253 Trascău Natura 2000 site
Area: Cluj and Alba counties
The purpose of the site administrator, the Metaliferi, Trascău, Muntele Mare Local Action Group (GAL MMTMM) is the durable development of communities in the area, and adjacent areas. Objectives of GAL MMTMM, throuhg the Local Development Strategy are: economic development of the community; ecological restoration and conservation of protected areas, including Natura 2000 sites; restoration and conservation of the sites; protect disadvantaged communities; promotion and preservation of traditional moral, cultural and religious values; promoting the principles of democracy, rule of law and equal opportunities; physical and intellectual development of youth; promotion of national and international partnerships.

Working group of bat experts under the Ministry of Environment
The working group on Romanian bat species aims to provide the specialized division within the responsible environmental authority with scientific and technical support needed in decision-making, and in the implementation and harmonization of the relevant legislation.
